After months of Âspeculation, gossip, rumours and hints, Rihanna finally confirmed she was back with Chris Brown with a Grammyâs PDA.*
So â" presuming you care in the first place â" how did it make you feel? Shocked? Angry? Disappointed?
My own personal heroine, Girls star Lena Dunham, said: âIt cracks my heart in half in a way that makes me feel like Iâm 95 years old.â But why?
Itâs OK for her friends to have an opinion about it, but we â" however much we might like to be â" are not Rihannaâs friends.
Itâs 2013. We know everyone makes mistakes. We know â" thanks to Twitter mainly â" that celebrities are just people (and often thrilling details about what they might have for lunch, too).
So why do we still expect famous people to be perfect?
History has proven time and time again that the majority of celebrities are, in fact, much, much more likely to do ridiculous things than admirable ones.
Check out Lindsay Lohan.
Look at people like Hugh Grant/Leslie Grantham, who seem to have thought they could indulge their seedier sides and get away with it, despite being (at the time, Âobviously, not now) a huge film star/in the cast of the most watched soap opera in the country, i.e. pretty recognisable to most people with functioning eyes.
Famous people are often extremely insecure, damaged, thick, or all of the before â" if any of them ever do anything Âpraiseworthy, itâs pretty much a miracle. And actually, celebrities donât ask to be shining examples of how to live your life â" so if Rihanna IS your role model, really, thatâs pretty much your problem.
Yes, celebs Âsometimes influence the way we dress, our hairstyles and our eating disorders, but if youâre Âseriously getting your core values from someone who prances round in a pair of pants chosen by a stylist, singing songs she didnât write, you need to get a grip.
Famous people are all, in ess ence, Âentertainers. Even Jordan. Theyâre just for fun, not for the serious things in life.
And that means anything to do with relationships. When it comes to celebrities you shouldnât trust them with your car keys, let alone with your love life.
Maybe we all need to come together as one and take the pressure off.
We could just try to enjoy celebritiesâ Âcreative output/reality shows and look to more credible sources for Âinspiration and guidance on our proper lives.
You know, like Lena Dunham.

Clarification of the week
ANYONE who thinks Jordan only called Kelly Brook fat because Kelâs back with Danny Cipriani â" who Jordan had a few, ahem, âdatesâ with, before he saw sense and ran for the hills â" couldnât be more idiotic and wrong.
Just like Jordan was when she called Kelly Brook fat.
