Oh, the BAFTAs - the glitz, the glamour, Ben Affleck checking his phone and Jennifer Garner having to give him a nudge to make him stop. All those things happened tonight, and also: some people won awards. Well, masks anyway.
The big news of the night is that Ben Affleck won Best Director for Argo. Hooray! We're so happy that all that rubbish hair finally got him an award. Congrats, Ben!
Jeremy Renner presented the Leading Actress award to Emmanuelle Riva, who won for French film Amour, and SJP (Sarah Jessica Parker, if you're a man) presented Lincoln actor Daniel Day Lewis with the Leading Actor. Has anyone seen that film? It's LONG. But well done anyway Daniel Day Lewis anyway.
We hope Hugh Jackman and the cast of Les Miserables practiced their "it's an honor to be nominated" faces, because Skyfall beat Les Mis to win Outstanding British film - Judi Dench was there to collect it from Ben Affleck and Bradley Cooper. Basically, being stuck between those two men = the dream. Don't worry - Les Mis did win Best Hair And Make Up. Hang on, didn't Anne Hathaway cut all her hair off for that film? They also won for "sound". Big win there for Les Mis.
Jennifer Lawrence presented the award for Best Supporting Actor to Christoph Waltz for Django Unchained (and he deserves it, that film's amazing! Oh sorry, no-one asked us did they?) and George Clooney gave the Best Supporting Actress award to Anne Hathaway - she was really calm about. Only joking, she got really, really emotional. As you would, if you'd just been kissed by the Clooney.
The Rising Star award went to Juno Temple - hooray! She's British and everything, and we're glad that appearing in St Trinians 2 wasn't all for nothing.
