Shayne Ward became the fifth celebrity to leave Dancing On Ice tonight after a shock result left him in the bottom two with Matt Lapinskas.
EastEnders star Matt - who has been the bookies' favourite to win the show - finished second on the judges' leader board earlier in the night with a score of 28, whilst X Factor winner Shayne was joint fourth with 23.5, his best score of the series.
There were mock-shock faces all round as host Phillip Schofield revealed that Matt and Shayne were in the skate-off, after Corrie star Samia Ghadie - who finished joint bottom with Joe Pasquale - just snuck through.
Matt and Shayne themselves, however, looked genuinely upset at the result, with Shayne saying he was "devastated".
The former X Factor star was first to take to the ice, performing a dull as dishwater routine to The Temper Trap's Sweet Disposition.
Matt was up next and, whilst his performance didn't have us stifling a yawn, he did stumble, which afterwards he worried had let him down.
He needn't have stressed though, as three of the four judges voted to save him, meaning Shayne was sent packing.
The judges expressed their shock at the result of the public vote, with Karen Barber describing it as "a skate off that should never have been."
She went on to say: "I have to vote for the strongest performance; I save Matt."
Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts also chose to save Matt, despite telling Shayne: "You skated the best you've ever skated."
Matt's slip in his save me skate didn't escape Jason Gardner's beady eye (of COURSE it didn't), and he said: "The save me skate, in my opinion, has to be performed perfectly, therefore tonight I'm saving Shayne."
The decision therefore lay with head judge Robin Cousins, who said: "Shayne, week by week you've delivered. However the two routines could not compare. I save Matt."
Having skated off to see Phillip and Christine, Shayne said about Matt: "He's always going to come out on top."
This happened whilst Matt broke down in tears on the sideline. DRAMA.
Perhaps DOI viewers just don't like a silly costume, as both men wore 'interesting' outfits for their first dance.
Shayne nullified any cool points he scored with a pair of leather trousers by pairing them with a hot pink, sequined t-shirt, whilst Matt - dancing to a piece of classical music - looked like the Black Swan crossed with rock band Kiss.
Elsewhere on tonight's Dancing On Ice, Beth Tweddle topped the leader board for the first time after she "blossomed," according to Jason.
Beth - who has been criticised in previous weeks for not 'connecting' with the performance - scored 30.5 out of 40 for her routine to Little Mix's Wings. Which is a song we can ALL connect with.
It's not all good news for Beth though - she's reportedly fallen foul of the DOI curse by splitting with her boyfriend, following in Samia and Sylvain's footsteps.
