Lauren Goodger's beauty salon has closed after just a year, the Sunday People has reported .
The shutters were down on the Lauren’s Way shop, which featured on the last series of The Only Way Is Essex .
Bags of rubbish were piled up outside and a “shop to let†sign pinned up over the store in Buckhurst Hill after it was shut up (sha-uuuuup in Towie speak).
The now ex-Towie star Lauren , 26, claims she needs bigger premises as business is booming.
Her spokesman said: “After an extremely successful year for the Lauren’s Way brand we are looking at temporarily closing the Lauren’s Way salon in Essex.
“With the lease coming to an end, we saw this as the perfect opportunity to look for a much bigger salon.
“The new site will then be able to accommodate the huge customer demand.â€
He said they were also considering pop-up stores across the country, bringing Essex-style tans and talons to all corners of the UK.
The new site in Essex will be announced “very soonâ€, he added.
Lauren â€" booted off ITV1’s Dancing On Ice last month after just two weeks on the show â€" took over the lease for the shop a year ago from Celebrity Big Brother star Chantelle Houghton, left.
In her new book Secrets of An Essex Girl, Lauren tells of the difficult first days after opening the salon, when it was pelted with eggs then firebombed.
She writes: “It really made me think about whether it was something I should be doing.â€
Lucky she didn’t just sha-uuuuuuup then...
