It’s still all dragging on in the 72-day marriage that’s turning into a 72-year marriage between Kim and Kris
Kim Kardashian’s lawyer has claimed that her ex, who is actually still her husband, is holding the pretty telly star “hostageâ€.
Clearly he’s not got her locked up in the cellar, gagged, while he demands a ransom from her family, but it’s a similar less physical situation according to Laura Wesser, who is the reality TV star’s legal eagle.
In court papers she says that basketball player Kris, who doesn’t want the divorce case to be heard until May when he has more time, can’t “continue to hold the court and [Kim] hostage though his own lack of diligence in preparing his case for trialâ€.
Kim, who is around four months pregnant with rapper boyfriend Kanye West’s baby (check her out wearing her tight maternity gym kit here), has voiced her concerns over the stress of the case and its effect on her health.
"I do not want to be married to [Humphries] when I have my baby... I am requesting the status of my marriage be determined now for not only my health and welfare but also for the health and wellbeing of my unborn child.
"I firmly believe that an immediate dissolution of our marriage will help create a new, full life for me. One chapter will be officially over, and a new one can begin. The same should hold true for [Humphries]."
It looks like that may be difficult now anyway because Kris’ lawyer has ditched the case altogether.
Marshall Waller filed paperwork stating that irreconcilable differences between himself and his client had arisen and he wanted to quit, which probably won’t please Kim too much.
