GWYNETH Paltrow gets her fantastic figure from eating healthy recipes such as those in her new cookery book.
But it seems you would need her Hollywood A-lister pay cheques to follow her diet.
US food writer Beth Greenfield claims cooking up a dayâs family meals using recipes from Gwynethâs book, Itâs All Good, can cost nearly £200.
She worked out the cost of buying ingredients for the recipes in America. The meals are so dear because Gwyneth recommends particular brands.
For example, the film star suggests buying gluten-free flour made by celebrity chef Thomas Keller which costs £13 a bag.
Fancy ingredients required for her recipes include duck eggs, manuka honey and piquillo peppers.
Beth wrote: âSeriously, Gwyneth, we want to work with you â" even eat with you! But we canât seem to afford it. Unless youâre buying, of course.â
Iron Man star Gwyneth, 40, was seen looking svelte in a short purple dress promoting Itâs All Good in California this week.
Gwyneth bans husband Chris Martin and their children Apple and Moses from consuming products including coffee, dairy, alcohol, sugar, shellfish, potatoes, tomatoes, corn, wheat, meat, soy or anything processed.
Her book has been savaged by US media. Award-winning food writer Julie Bellus said: âThe question is why we buy into the junk advice of celebrity health promoters who have no background in health.â
American website Yahoo estimated the cost of a day living on Gwynethâs food and converting the prices to pounds means you would spend almost £200.
The prices for some run-of-the-mill products are so expensive in Gwynethâs recipes because she recommends particular brands.
For example, the gluten-free flour she suggests you buy is Cup4Cup, a blend made by celebrity chef Thomas Keller which costs £13 ($20) for a three pound bag in the States.
That makes for a very pricey cup of flour.
The Hollywood star recently revealed that she suffered a miscarriage which almost killed her.
The Iron Man star, 40, has revealed she lost her third child and that she is still âmissingâ the baby.
Gwyneth, who is married to Coldplay rocker Chris Martin, 36, said her young son and daughter often ask for another sibling.
She said she is also keen for another child.
