There's nothing ugly about Girls Aloud â" except for their break-up.
Nadine Coyle has incurred the wrath of the other beauties for suggesting they went behind her back to plan the split.
Furious Sarah Harding, 31, and Cheryl Cole, 29, even called Nadine to tear a strip off her.
Last week I told how Nadine, 27, took to Twitter to tell fans she âcouldnât stopâ the other girls from calling time on the group.
She also claimed sheâd had no part in the decision.
Her tweet came a day after the girls officially announced they were going their separate ways following the last concert of their 10th anniversary tour on Wednesday.
Nadineâs bandmates insist that it had always been agreed they would break up once the tour was over. Now the girls â" who had a Top 5 hit with their cover of I Think Weâre Alone Now in 2006 â" are ready to say goodbye to Nadine for good.
A s ource close to the group tells me: âThey have parted on terrible terms. The girls hadnât seen much of US-based Nadine until they reunited for the tour and now it doesnât look like theyâll ever see much of her once sheâs gone back to LA. As soon as Sarah saw the tweet she called Nadine to say how angry she was. The tweet made it look like the girls went behind Nadineâs back to make the decision.
âBut the plan had always been to split after the tour. Nadine also felt the sharp end of Cherylâs tongue. Nadineâs behaviour has left a bitter taste in everyoneâs mouth.â
The other girls, Kimberley Walsh, 31, and Nicola Roberts, 27, were also furious.
The groupâs bosses called a crisis meeting to work out how to handle the fallout and blasted Nadine for putting the others in an awkward position.
The moral? Think before you tweet.
