There are times in life when it's best to maintain a dignified silence. And then there are other times when a well-timed F-bomb is the only option.
Scenario B presented itself to Tina Fey when the comedian was out walking in New York yesterday.
In video footage posted by E!, the 30 Rock star is seen happily minding her own business and playing with her smartphone, when a rude paparazzo sticks his video camera in her face and asks her what she had to say about the whole Taylor Swift debacle.
Perhaps it was the fact that he'd just interrupted her conc entration at a pivotal moment in her game of Bejewelled Blitz (or whatever the latest craze is). Maybe it was the fact that she's already commented on the row. Or maybe she just really dislikes the paparazzi (which celeb doesn't, huh?).
Whatever the reason, Tina gave a knowing grin, and then she told the pap: "Go f*ck yourself."
We do so love a sweary celeb.
If you don't have the foggiest what we're talking about, take a long, hard look at your priorities, and then allow us to recap.
Last month, Tina hosted the Golden Globe awards alongside fellow funny woman Amy Poehler, during which they joked that Taylor should "stay away from Michael J Fox's son" and take some "me time" following her latest love split.
Whilst the rest of the world had a little giggle and then got on with their lives, Taylor stewed on the comments, and then hit back in her interview with Vanity Fair magazine.
Asked about the incident, Taylor reflected on a quote she's quite fond of, saying: "There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women."
Obviously scared that she'd end up as the title of Taylor's next song, Amy said these nice words to The Hollywood Reporter: "Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."
Tina, on the other hand, was less bothered.
She told Entertainment Tonight: "If anyone was going to get mad at us, I thought it would be James Cameron. I did not see that one coming. It was a joke. It was a light-hearted joke."
Brace yourself for a song called something like Satina The She Devil, love.
Meanwhile, Chelsea Handler is the latest celeb to indulge in a spot of Taylor-bashing, saying she reckons Tay is a virgin and that she'll never be devirginised ever, ever, ever, ever.
