The Great Gatsby cast arrive in France to show off their fame before the Cannes Film Festival

IT'S JUST TOO EXCITING - the Cannes Film Festival has almost begun and a plethora of Hollywood stars have descended on the South of France.

This means there's potential for plenty of side/centre/top/underboob and wardrobe malfunctions over the next few days and one or two usually composed A-listers may stumble out of a star-studded party and fall flat on their face after one too many glasses of posh Cristal champagne.

And while it's unfortunate for us lovers of gossip this hasn't happened already, we have seen some rather wondrous pictures of The Great Gatsby cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Isla Fisher and Carey Mulligan.

The film will open the 11-day festival on Wednesday night with the cream of the Hollywood crop expected to attend.

And Leonardo and his beautiful face are very excited about the annual celebration.

Erm, a few people behind want a photo

He said: "Every time I go to Cannes, it feels like I'm entering the helicopter scene in La Dolce Vita. It's an insane experience.

"The entire town is turned into a red carpet. Every hotel is a premiere. But at the same time, it is the mecca for the world to celebrate film-making and bold film-making."

If you say so, Leo.

Quite frankly we're more excited at the idea of there being a whole town where every inch of road is actually red carpet.
