Itâs not a term weâd use for the sexy singer and lady responsible for making bootyshaking socially acceptable, but Beyonce has revealed yet another side to her personality â" apparently sheâs a bit of a geek.
The superstar who also goes by the stage name Sasha Fierce, and whose latest single warned ladies âto bow down b******â (well, ahemâ¦) has revealed that she is actually a big softie.
Her latest admission comes amidst her promotional duties for hit movie Epic, in which she stars as the voice of Queen Tara.
Beyonce who started working on the movie while she was still pregnant and who is in the middle of her Mrs Carter World Tour said of her new role as Queen Tara for her latest animated movie: âI literally had tears when I played the voice, there was a scene whe re Queen Tara picks out her pod and I just imagined seeing my child.â
Beyonce hasnât stopped here, the singers âgushingâ appreciation for her latest movie role seems genuine with the singer labelling the experience as âemotionalâ.
Â
Clearly happy with her move from music to the big screen, this childrenâs film is a move on from her role as Deena Jones in Dreamgirls (where we basically witnessed her and Jennifer Hudson try to out-sing each other) - aside from their obviously brilliant acting, of course.
The 31-year-old had no qualms admitting she is less than the cool musical star we are often witness to: âPeople take me a lot more seriously than I do, Iâm aware of that so I have to be conscious of it but definitely Iâm a goofball, Iâm a goofball.â
Despite her admission that she is has a silly side, "it's a lot of pressure, it's a lot of pressure at times , I have my company and I am a businessowoman and I have a lot of people that you know I'm responsible for but at the end of the day I make my decisions based on my heart. I can handle it at least most of the time."
Beyonce also revealed she sings to one-year-old daughter Blue Ivy but uses her âmommyâ voice, which is probably a good job, weâre not sure baby Blue could really take that bellowing voice while trying to get some sleep.
She told ITVâs Daybreak: âI keep my Beyonce voice for the stage and I have my simple Mommy voice. I remember hearing a story about Celine Dion and she was like âwhen I sing, I donât know if it was her son, cried. And thatâs so interesting as she has the most beautiful voice in the world and sheâs like âhe hates itâ. So I say well maybe Iâll just give a little simple nursery rhyme voice to my daughter.â
It seems Beyonce is in high spirits despite having to cancel a show last week due to poor health. The singer was so upset about it that she sent a personally hand written letter to her fans apologising for having to cancel the show.
âTo my dearest fans in Antwerp, I have never postponed a show in my life. it was very hard for me. I promise I will make it up very soon. Iâm sorry if I disappointed you. Thank you for your conc ern, Iâm feeling much better now and Iâm ready to give you a great show. See you tonight. All my love Beyonce.â
Â
The shock cancellation from Queen Bey, sent the rumour mill into over drive, sparking debates over whether the usually private singer is pregnant with baby number two.
The Single Ladies singer hinted at wanting to add to her family in a recent interview with US talk show host Oprah.
âI definitely want another child. After this tour, maybe Iâll have another baby. My daughter introduced me to myself. Motherhood made everything make sense. She is hilarious and she is on fire. Lord, I am going to have me a time.â
