If thereâs anyone who knows a thing or two about TV â" itâs Sir Bruce Forsyth.
The legendary presenter has attacked Simon Cowell for allowing children to appear on Britainâs Got Talent.
But not being too harsh with his words, Brucie offered a suggestion of a possible spin-off show from BGT to help fix the problem.
The 85-year-old said: âI donât think they should put children on that are too young.
âIf youâre going to do that, have a separate show. Have a childrenâs show, British Children Have Talent.â
Well thatâs not the most imaginative title but at least viewers will know what to expect.
Back in the day, âour talentâ was putting a whole pack of Babybel in our mouth while humming the national anthem.
He continued: âTo put little children through that kind of an ordeal, I think that is wrong.
âI think it was last year some poor little girl of about 11 was crying her eyes out on there. I donât think thatâs entertainment.â
The veteran was knighted in 2011 for services to entertainment after a career spanning a staggering 70 years.
And despite signs of slowing down when he was working on Strictly Come Dancing last year, he confirmed that he plans to return to the popular BBC programme.
Speaking about the show which will rival Cowellâs baby The X Factor in the autumn, he said: âIâm meeting the BBC bosses next week.
"Weâll be finalising it. Itâs looking like Iâll definitely be doing it and Iâm looking forward to it.â
In episode five of BGT, there were a number of young kids who were given 'yeses' into the next stage of the competition.
