Harry Styles: One Direction star to be best man at mother Anne Cox's wedding

Heart-throb Harry Styles is set to be best man at his mum’s wedding tomorrow.

Anne Cox is getting married to long-term partner Robin Twist who helped to raise Harry after his parents split when he was seven.

And the 19-year-old boy band star is said to be thrilled at the honour.

Anne, 43, who lives in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, with Robin and daughter Gemma, 20, picked the date to fit in with Harry’s hectic tour schedule â€" and the rest of the band are also thought to be attending.

Guests will only be told details of the wedding at the last minute to keep the venue under wraps.

Robin’s son, Mike, from a previous relationship, will be another of several best men at the ceremony.

Office worker Anne, who divorced Harry’s dad Des, has always supported the singer’s ambitions.

And he has described her as one of his best friends, admitting she is the only one who really knows what’s going on in his infamous love life: “I tell her everything, and she knows the truth”.

She was his biggest fan when he sang with school band White Eskimo and is friends with all the 1D boys. They were invited to stay in the bungalow at the bottom of the family’s garden for a week as they prepared for the live X Factor finals.

Anne was in the X Factor audience every week in a “Harry has the X Factor” T-shirt and is also an avid user of Twitter, regularly updating his fans on the social networking site.

She was also her son’s date at this year’s Brit Awards and could not hide her pride when 1D won the Global Success Award. The pair later arrived arm-in-arm at the swanky official Sony after-party at London’s Arts Club.

And Anne has been vocal about Harry’s romances, saying he would make a lovely boyfriend â€" one day.

She said: “He’ll make a very nice boyfriend when he’s ready. He’s very romantic but doesn’t want to tie himself down at the moment.

“Harry is obviously very handsome or ‘fit’ as the girls would say. Whoever Harry falls in love with in the future will be a really lucky girl.”
