Taylor Swift in stalker scare as obsessed fan SWIMS through icy water to her home

An obsessed Taylor Swift fan was arrested after swimming a mile at night through icy Atlantic water to her new island home.

Police spotted the 22-year-old man getting out of the water near the singer’s mansion shortly after 2am.

He was held for trespassing and is believed to have told officers he had tried to see the 23-year-old Red singer earlier but was scared off when he spotted her security team.

The fan, from Chicago, was taken into custody.

Taylor bought the eight-bedroom Rhode Island mansion last month for around £13.8million.

It is not known if the star, who is in the middle of her Red tour, was at home at the time.

A spokesman for Westerly Police Department said they had met the star’s security to discuss the incident and added: “There is a zero tolerance for trespassers.”

It is not the first time Taylor has had trouble with stalkers.

In Decem ber, a 24-year-old man was reportedly arrested at her Nashville home after climbing over a fence.

The singer said last year: “I get nervous over stalker incidents. Sometimes you get a dude who kind of wants to steal you.

"I’m so grateful I have people looking after me.”
