Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has revealed that he had step up his snogging for a gay sex scene in film Kill Your Darlings.
Appearing on The Graham Norton Show, the 23-year-old joked that the extremely heavy petting marked a watershed moment in his career, shifting away from the likes of Hogwarts and Quidditch.
He said: âI was doing a gay sex scene and the director was giving step by step instructions.Â
âAnd the favourite note I have ever had was when we were kissing and the director shouted, âNot like that. Crazy sex kissing!âÂ
âI spent 10 years in a kidsâ franchise and that was definitely a moment of, âYes, I think Iâm moving on.ââ
Â
The star, who plays beat poet Allen Ginsberg in the Sundance Grand Jury Prize-nominated flick, also confessed that he had found putting on an Irish accent for new play The Cripple of Innishmaan.
âIt was tricky and horribly intimidating thinking everyone is going to think itâs terrible,â he admitted.Â
âThe first fifteen minutes of the first day I was just mumbling but at some point I just thought, âTo hell with it, just go for it,â and itâs been good ever since.â
Also appearing on the couch with Graham are Isla Fisher and The Great Gatsby director Baz Luhrmann.
* The Graham Norton Show is on BBC1 tonight, Friday May 17th, at 10:35pm
