Move over Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez has a new cherubic man-boy in her life â€" Union J’s George Shelley.

Sexy Selena, 21, who split with Biebs earlier this year after a three-year romance, has openly invited George to take her on a date.

Via a surprise video message played to George at the weekend in front of his bandmates, the American singer said: “Hey, George, it’s Selena. I was in London for a bit and I’m bummed I missed you so next time give me call."

So far, so cute.

Now the duo plan to meet when Union J, who were formed on X Factor, support Selena as she takes her European tour to Lisbon, Portugal, next month.

Understandably, gorge George, 20, was pretty shell-shocked. He tells me: “Selena’s one of those massive celebrities who doesn’t even know you exist, so I was gob-smacked.

“I thought it was a lookalike at first. I could feel my cheeks going red and the lads laughed at me.”

And as if poor George isn’t nervous enough, he has his driving test on the same day he flies to Lisbon for the gig. Pressure.

He tells me: “I will try to call Selena beforehand so it’s not too awkward when we meet.

“My perfect date would be to go the beach at night. We could have a little bonfire.”

Single George was snapped snogging looking VERY cosy with Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson, 22, at V Festival earlier this month. But he insists they’re just good friends (that old chestnut) and Jesy is supportive of a hook-up with Selena.

George, who announces the band’s long-awaited second single this week, reveals: “Jesy is one of my best mates. We’re really close. Jesy wouldn’t be at all annoyed if I met up with Selena â€" she’d probably want to come too.”
