Awkward celebrity stage bombs! Taylor Lautner's pillow talk! Some really bad fashion…

The MTV Video Awards 2013 had it all â€" they even had a cigarette butt hat, courtesy of Pitch Perfect actress Hana Mae Lee in an Alain Lafaille for He-Ha headpiece.

First up there was Seth Rogen and Danny McBride - who whipped down their trousers to reveal a pant wig (ahem) and chastity belt respectively.

The comedians pulled down their pants (American for trews, obvs) in a bid to create a whole new MTV Video Awards category: The Best Bottomless competition.

Seth Rogen treated viewers to a long, lingering glance at his backside.

Quick to pick up the controversy baton, Snoop Lion (aka the artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg) and Ke$ha (aka the artist formerly known as, er, Ke$ha) then took to the stage.

The pair â€" who both LOVE to shock â€" shared a ‘suspicious looking cigarette’ on stage at the MTV Movie Awards 2013 in Los Angeles.

There to introduce Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, the duo passed the cigarette between them, before giggling.  

Perhaps they were simply laughing at each other’s outfits though â€" Snoop in his red fun-fur jacket and grey slacks and Ke$ha all ‘You can like totally see my underwear in this’ Ke$ha.

Both made the Worst Dressed MTV Video Awards 2013 list â€" neither has spoken out about the mysterious cigarette, yet…

More $moking... PS Did anyone else forget that Snoop Dogg's a Lion now!? Just us? Fair enough

 

But Ke$ha and Snoop Lion certainly set the bar high when it comes to MTV controversy.
