Cruising crooners: Britain's Got Talent insiders admit that sandwich-making Johnson brothers have professional experience

Britain’s Got Talent insiders have reportedly admitted that sandwich-making singing duo the Johnson Brothers have experience of performing professionally â€" "making a living" as crooners on cruise ships.

Richard, 22 and Adam, 19 received a standing ovation from the audience and glowing reviews from the judges after their audition, screened on ITV last Saturday night.

BGT head honcho Simon Cowell lavished praise on the pair for the “incredible” amount of “effort and passion” put into their rendition of 'The Impossible Dream' from musical Man of La Mancha.

The 53-year-old said their performance reminded him of the Olympic spirit of London 2012. He also added that while he liked them for being “genuine guys”, they n eeded a little technical assistance.

Newspaper reports today however have claimed that Richard and Adam may spend more time chasing showbiz dreams than they do in the day job as buttie artists.

One video available on YouTube features the brothers being interviewed for the holidayandcruise channel, presenting the sharp-suited lads as a professional act.

A Britain’s Got Talent spokesman said: “Richard and Adam both work in the family’s sandwich shops in Wales.

“Over the past few months they’ve worked part time as they have been pursuing their dream of making a living from singing with occasional work on cruise ships and other small gigs.”

Who do you think was the best act on BGT's second episode?
