X Factor blackout! Tulisa and Nicole go goth for X Factor's darkest week

X Factor blackout! Tulisa and Nicole go goth for X Factor's darkest week

It was a dark week for The X Factor this weekend - thanks to Tulisa Contostavlos and Nicole Scherzinger's wardrobe choices.

The judges both opted to wear all-black outfits for both the live show on Saturday and the results show on Sunday evening.

Tulisa Contostavlos
T could do some serious damage with those teeth

Fitting perfectly with the weekend's Halloween theme, Saturday saw Tulisa wearing a curve-hugging fishtail dress. The judge also revealed a pair of FANGS as she smiled for the camera at the start of the show. (The same fangs she tried to sink into Nicole's neck earlier this week, no doubt.)

Tulisa
She can do the fang-dango

Nicole, meanwhile, was her usual understated self in a so-tight-we're-not-sure-how-she-was-breathing bodysuit made of black lace, topped with crimped hair and an unusual sculpted headpiece.

Nicole Scherzinger
Sexy AND she knows it

And the gothic theme continued in tonight's results show. Tulisa wore a full-skirted, knee-length black frock with blood-red lips, whilst Nicole wore a rather boob-y strapless dress in - yep, you've guessed it - black.

With Halloween just around the corner, the wardrobe department took the opportunity to go to town on the contestants' outfits in last night's live shows.

Amongst the ladies, Ella Henderson channelled Little Red Riding Hood in a red cape and massive bird's nest hair, whilst Jade - who left the competition after losing tonight's sing-off to Union J - went all futuristic in a silver suit.

The boys got in on the Halloween act too: Rylan copied his mentor Nicole by donning an elaborate headpiece, District 3 dressed in the style of A Clockwork Orange, and Christopher Maloney came as, well, Christopher Maloney. But that's scary enough in itself, isn't it?

First listen! One Direction unveil Little Things as their second single and it's pretty awesome (video)

It’s probably the first time teenage girls have woken up before 9am without hitting snooze on their alarm clock or try cobbling together an excuse to stay in bed longer.

One Direction unveiled their new single Little Things and by all accounts, it might make you cry into your porridge â€" so be careful.

We don’t really need to tell you that it was written by the genius Ed Sheeran because the lyrics are instantly recognisable to the ginger singer’s original EP.

1D fans are already getting all excited, tweeted about their ovaries (which makes us feel massively uncomfortable and a little bit sick) after the song was leaked on the YouTube account before it was unveiled on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show.

Niall was chatting to Grimmy this morning and revealed: "We heard the song and said, 'yeah, that's a cracker and we want it.'"

And giving away a little secret of what we're going to expect from the music video, the Irish charmer said: "For the video, we just kind of sit around in a studio and act like we're recording the song."

It's the little things in life, apparently.

After just SIX minutes of being posted online, the video had more than 50k ‘likes’.

It’s their second single of their second album Take Me Home â€" after Live While We’re Young stumbled to third in the Top 40 charts.

Ed revealed: "I think they just wanted to try something different. I think they did the same formula with the last single â€" it sounded like a One Direction song â€" and now I think they want to switch it up a bit.

"It's got one of my favourite lines that I've ever written in a song," he continued.

"Harry says, 'I know you never like the sound of your voice on tape and you never like to know how much you weigh and you still have to squeeze into your jeans but you're perfect to me'."

The boys have been working with Ed Sheeran and when we caught up with the A-Team singer, he told us that they’re such good mates that Harry bought him some Lego for his birthday. That's quite cute, isn't it?

Jade Ellis leaves The X Factor after losing sing-off with Union J

Jade Ellis leaves The X Factor after losing sing-off with Union J

Jade Ellis became the fourth contestant to leave The X Factor tonight.

Jade found herself in the bottom two with boy band Union J, after the two acts received the lowest number of votes from the public.

In the sing-off, Jade belted out Dido's White Flag, whilst Union J gave a rendition of Pink's Perfect (which, in our opinion, was anything but).

But by this stage it wasn't down to us to decide who should stay and who should go.

Turning to the judges, Dermot asked Louis to cast his vote first. And, as mentor to Union J, his answer came as no surprise.

The one that looks like Abs from 5ive pleads to stay with his eyes

"Dermot, I love them," said Louis, choking back tears (he's turning into a RIGHT cry-baby this series, isn't he?).

"I don't want to lose them, so I have to send Jade home," he managed to croak.

Next up to vote was Tulisa, Jade's mentor. She said: "This is easy for me. That's my girl up there, she sang her heart out tonight. The act that I'm sending home is Union J."

With the vote one a-piece, Dermot turned to Nicole who told Jade, "You have one of my favourite voices in the competition." And then gave her the boot.

And then it was down to Gary. Addressing Union J, he said: "Guys I have been tough on you. Every week you've come on the show; I think it's been good, it's not been exceptional."

He added: "I am excited though to know what's coming next from you guys. I can see the commitment. I can see the ambition in your eyes, I think there's some place to go with you guys, I really do."

Echoing Nicole's comments, Gary told Jade: "Jade, you are a phenomenal vocalist, you really are. And you really sang your heart out there. But I just wonder if I want this for you more than you want it."

Jade is voted off X Factor
Tulisa comforts Jade as she's voted off. Sob!

And with that he cast his vote, saved Union J, and Jade's fate was sealed: back home she would go. We bet she's gutted she let them dye her purple now.

Despite getting through to next week, there was surprise that Union J found themselves in the bottom two at all, as they're generally considered to be the favourite boy band (sorry District 3).

Rylan Clark, Jahmene Douglas, Ella Henderson, District 3, Christopher Maloney, Kye Sones and James Arthur all made it safely through to next week's show, in addition to Lucy Spraggan who was given a 'free pass' to next week's show after catching flu - causing serious outrage amongst viewers.

Prior to the results announcement, tonight's show featured a performance by US band Fun and the UK's best selling solo artist EVER (according to t he montage played before he sang), Mr Robbie Williams, who treated Louis Walsh to a rather special lap dance. Oo-er!

Three's a crowd, so what about eight? Baby Theodora swamped by Robbie clan

Three's a crowd, so what about eight? Baby Theodora swamped by Robbie clan

Quitting glitzy LA for a quiet life back in Britain, Robbie Williams was probably relishing some time alone with his wife, Ayda Field, and newborn daughter.

But they’ve been joined by his mum, her mum, and her mum’s best mate, and his wife’s brother and his wife’s brother’s mate.

And, soon, the nanny.

No fewer than eight family members and friends are sharing the house the 38-year-old singer is renting for his wife and their six-week old baby, Theodora Rose.

Wanting Teddy to have a British passport and education, he and Turkish-born Ayda have taken over a sprawling house in London â€" with his entourage of babysitters.

The stunning actress’s mum, Gwen, has packed her bags and temporarily moved to England to help out, bringing a family friend with her.

And, keen not to miss out on play time with her new granddaughter, Rob’s mum, Jan, is also keeping a close eye on proceedings.

Similarly, Ayda’s brother, Dylan, and football-loving chum are also over for a jolly â€" giving the Candy singer some much needed male bonding time.

Says my source: “Robbie and Ayda’s mums get on well and are helping a lot with the baby.

“There’s a lot of football going on into the night â€" with floodlights put up especially in the back garden.

“It really is one big happy family. There’s always someone to lend a hand with baby duties â€" Teddy is getting plenty of cuddles.”

Rob and Ayda, 33, are now hunting for the perfect Mary Poppins-style nanny.

The star recently said: “Am I getting help? F*** yeah. I’m getting hot and cold running help.”

Speaking about the couple’s crowded house, a pal of Robbie’s said: “Teddy has had a regular stream of doting visitors over the past weeks, all keen to spend time with her.”

X Factor's Lucy Spraggan in 'quit threat' over cover version rows

X Factor's Lucy Spraggan in 'quit threat' over cover version rows

Lucy Spraggan “might quit” The X Factor as she is furious with show bosses for trying to get her to sing cover versions, a source claimed last night.

The insider said the singer also wants to “be paid for the songs which she wrote that are selling on iTunes”.

Lucy, 21, failed to perform on Saturday as she had flu.

Her illness came after partying at the Bond premiere on Tuesday and fellow contestant Rylan Clark’s 24th birthday bash on Wednesday.

She was too ill to rehearse on Thursday and angry viewers hit out when she did not perform, with one tweeting: “If she stopped boozing we might have some sympathy.”

Lucy, from Sheffield, was kicked out of a posh hotel earlier this month for being drunk.

She goes through to the next round automatically but the source said: “Lucy might quit â€" she’s tired of being told off. She doesn’t want to sing covers. She was lov ing it but she’s unwell, which is making her negative.”

A show spokeswoman insisted Lucy would be back, explaining: “She is very happy show-wise.”

Meanwhile, Tulisa refused to accept an apology from Gary after he moaned about her “fag-ash breath” when she criticised his act Christopher Maloney.

Gary said sorry on ITV2 spin-off The Xtra Factor, but Tulisa slammed him for “resorting to primary school comments”.

Jade Ellis, 25, was sent home last night after Gary Barlow cast the deciding vote.

R-Patz certainly had an eyeful (of Jennifer Aniston’s boobs) at the LACMA Gala

Jennifer Aniston wore a very, very, very revealing dress to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's star studded annual Art + Film Gala on Saturday night.

The elegant floor-length black gown had a huge cut away section at the front which showed off a good half of her lovely boobies.

There was some sheer, flesh coloured material over the top, although quite why we’re not sure. We’re guessing there was whole lot of tit-tape under there too ensuring the sides of the dress stayed in place and she didn’t suffer any embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.

Not that the men at the party would have objected presumably.

One of those was Robert Pattinson, who turned up minus the missus, Kristen Stewart, which could have been a bit of a bonus because there were certainly plenty of luscious lasses to stare at too.

Cameron Daiz wore a mustard long sleeved dress and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley chose a bright green, floor length gown with a cut away sides that showed a bit of side boob. Lucky Rob.

We always knew Robbie Williams would bring an explosive performance to tonight's installment of The X Factor results show, and he certainly delivered - by giving Louis Walsh a LAP DANCE.

Performing new song Candy, Robbie took to the stage wearing a tight purple top that barely contained his, quite frankly, MASSIVE arms and, as is his way, took command of the stage.

Mid-way through the performance, the Robster took the show to the audience, serenading one particularly over-excited woman before clambering up to the judge's table and STRADDLING Louis Walsh.

Robbie's clearly been taking his vitamins

Clasping Louis to his breast (oo-er), Rob continued singing whilst Louis had no choice but to nestle in and enjoy the ride. Which we're sure he hated.

Whilst Louis recovered and wiped Robbie's chest sweat from his brow (with a BIG grin on his face, we might add), Dermot joined Robbie on stage post-performance, announcing: "He's baaaack!"

And, turning to Walsh, Dermot joked: "Louis, that's your second lap dance of the series!"

Robbie Williams on X Factor
This guy was also treated to Robbie sitting on his lap. And he wasn't quite as thrilled as Louis.

Addressing Robbie's very public support for Rylan - Gary's arch-nemesis - Dermot asked whether relations between the band mates were strained.

"He knows it's all love, but he's been a bit serious with Rylan. I love Rylan," Robbie said, before adding: "Show him some love, Gaz!"

Despite shouting "vote Rylan!" mid-performance, Robbie revealed to Dermot that Ella had impressed him the most during his masterclasses this week, saying: "She blew me away. She's brilliant."
