London Marathon 2013: Take a look at some of the amazing celebrities taking part in the race

The Virgin London Marathon takes place on Sunday and as usual some of our favourite faces from the world of celebrity are taking part in the race.

As much as we love people who have the fame, the likes of Amy Childs, her pal James 'Arg' Argent and the lovely Cheryl Baker might be difficult to spot amongst the 36,000 people set to run the 26.2-mile course.

So why not feast your eyes upon these words about some of the celebrities doing their bit for charity by running the race this year and take a look at our gallery below.

Model Sophie Anderton may not be one of the most widely-known celebrities to run this year but the 42-year-old model is still doing her bit by raising money for charity The Children's Trust.

However, all the hard work the reality star has put into training for the race appears to have had a strange effect on her, erm, lips.

Sophie was spotting having a chinwag on her phone in London earlier this month and speculation surrounding the reason for her unusually plump pout soon mounted.

But the star soon put our minds at rest insisting she hadn't had an allergic reaction and hasn't been under the knife but instead has just been exercising a bit too much.

Taking the opportunity to also give us an update on her professional life at the same time, she recently told 3am.co.uk: "Guys, I have been DJ-ing part-time while modelling full-time abroad. P.S. I have lose weight so my lips look bigger."

Meanwhile, McFly legend Harry Judd has also been pumping up some other parts of his body while training for the event - his bulging muscles.

The star, 27, recently showed off his impressive biceps while wearing a tight white shirt during a training session.

Look at my superhuman arms!

And while the former Strictly Come Dancing champ may look in tip top shape, he discovered he has a heart condition as a result of all his increased running lately.

Harry, who is running for The Teenage Cancer Trust and Eyes Alight (BIRT), recently tweeted: "So I've acquired an ectopic heart beat through excessive exercise. It's known as a Wandering Pacemaker commonly seen in athletes....it's really annoying!!!

"It's nothing to worry about but just means I have to chill out a bit :-/"

But despite his condition the little legend is still going to run on Sunday and is also due to take part in a grueling 13-mile "bog, electricity and fire crossing" assault course the following week.

Meanwhile, reality star Amy Childs, who is running for the British Heart Foundatio n, may not have her health to worry about but she does have some concerns and has come up with a plan if she runs into trouble after admitting she couldn't even run when she first started training in December.

This is how Amy will cross the finish line. Of course

She told Digital Spy: "I'm going to tell you a big secret. I've got a little pouch and I'm gonna have my jelly babies in, I'm gonna have my lip gloss and I'm going to have my mobile phone in case I get lost.

"The [last] mile I'm going to do my lip gloss and then on the finish line I'll be looking glamorous, smile for the paps and then, done."

Also taking part are operatic warbler Katherine Jenkins, Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard and newsreader Sian Williams among others.
