She loves a British Âheartthrob â" so Victoria Beckham might want ?to keep a close eye on ?her man.
Lady gentleman killer Taylor Swift has landed herself a big screen role - appearing alongside former footballer David.
The American singer is the latest big name star to sign-up to director Matthew Vaughnâs huge budget spy caper, The Secret Service, I can reveal.
Taylor, 23, who famously dated 1D star Harry Styles prior to their acrimonious split in February, joins a stellar cast including Colin Firth, Samuel L Jackson and Michael Caine.
Becks, 38, Elton John and Adele have also all been offered cameos.
The movie â" with a screenplay by Mrs Jonathan Ross Jane Goldman â" is described as a 21st Century 007. The multi-Grammy winnerâs character escapes after being kidnapped by a villain, played by Samuel L.
Â
She begins filming at the end of this year with the film due for release in November 2014.
A production source said: âFilming commences in October and will shoot mainly in London and south of France.
âMatthew looked at a number of actresses to play the part before settling on Taylor â" apparently she was a natural on the big screen.
âSheâs also someone fresh and unseen in Hollywood terms which was massively appealing.
âShe will be required to have some heavy-duty martial arts training in order that her character convincingly kick Samuel L Jacksonâs butt.
Â
âIt will be Taylorâs biggest challenge to date but she cannot wait.
âShe is also looking forward to working with David Beckham whom she thinks is amazing looking â" but taken.â
The Secret Service, based on the Mark Millar comic books, stars Firth and Caine as secret agents battling a variety of villains.
Bridget Jones actor Firth is reported to be playing the uncle of the main character, a young tearaway from the mean streets of London recruited into a British spy school.
Little-known British actor Taron Egerton has been tipped for the role of the young spy after Aaron Taylor-Johnson turned it down.
