Lamar Odom has checked himself into rehab â" it has been claimed.
In the wake of his arrest for DUI the NBA player voluntarily booked himself into a drugs and alcohol rehabilitation centre.
A source told People magazine: âHe realised he needs help.â

It is thought his reality star wife Khloe Kardashian issued her husband with an ultimatum â" seek help or face a divorce.
Basketball player Lamar, 32, admitted to struggling with drug use in the past, saying he âcouldnât controlâ himself in LA and was smoking marijuana.
Reality star Lamar, who is the husband of Khloe Kardashian, was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol during the early hours of last Friday morning.
He was spotted driving erratically on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley and was arrested at 3:54am before being booked into jail at 5:01am in Van Nuys where he was held on $15,000 bail, according to TMZ.
He was later released from custody at 8:33am local time.
Lamar was driving a white Mercedes sports car and was pulled over for driving too slowly at a speed of 50 miles per hour.
The sportsman is said to have failed a number of sobriety tests and refused all chemical tests when he was taken to the police station.
California Highway Patrol spokesperson Leland Tang told People: "The most dangerous aspect is that he was driving 50 mph on a freeway with a speed of 65 mph. That is never a good sign. That's not safe."
On Lamar's refusal to take chemical tests, he added: "Once you say no you automatically lose your license. No judge or attorney needed. People think you can do that but you can't refuse a chemical test without consequences."
We have approached a representative for Lamar for comment.
The star has been plagued by rumours of alleged drug use in recent weeks and reportedly went missing last weekend after a fight with wife Khloe.
Khloe appeared to hit out at the reports recently, tweeting: "Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk s**t about my family! F**k you and shame on you! I'm too protective for this s**t!"
In 2001, while playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, Lamar was suspended twice for drug violations but the National Basketball Association declined to comment further on the violations at the time.
