A number of celebrities are trying to flog their clutter on eBay to make a quick quid. Katie Price, Imogen Thomas and, of course, Kris Jenner who recently got bad feedback for a grubby pair of Tom Ford sunglasses she sold on the auction website.
But if Kris Humphries is looking for a buyer for this priceless item he might need a reality check.
The former hubby of super-celeb Kim Kardashian is trying to sell her ring, according to Us Weekly.
After the couple settled their bitter divorce Kris started plans to make a few bob off her 20-carat engagement ring.
A source told the magazine: “It’s 100% Kim’s ring. She gave it back a year ago.†Kim apparently paid for the Lorraine Schwartz ring herself but gave it back to Kris over a year ago, the report claims.
It’s now listed as Lot 194 “property of a gentleman†and will go up for sale on October 15 at Chris tie’s in New York, with bidding starting at an eye-watering $300,000, according to sources.
The catalogue notes apparently say a proportion of the cash made will go to an unnamed charity and the asking price is far below the $2 million it’s rumoured to be worth.
An insider adds: “Kris doesn’t look back fondly on his 72-marriage to Kim. This is for revenge. She knew he’d sell that ring one day.â€
Meanwhile, it’s reported in Star magazine that it was Kanye West’s idea to give the ring back after he demanded she rid everything from her previous marriage.
“He didn’t understand why she’d want to keep something from her ex-husband,†someone in the know blabbed.
This is a fair point unless it’s worth a bloody fortune then sentiment kind of goes out of the window.
