One Direction interview: Watch the boys chat about The You Generation LIVE right here at 7pm

In between singing perfectly constructed pop songs, snogging the prettiest girls available and doing their hair, One Direction sometimes find time to do interviews which remind us just how lovely their speaking voices are. And today is your lucky day because 1D are doing a LIVE interview this very night!

To celebrate the launch of The You Generation, there will be a live stream interview with the world's greatest boyband today (Wednesday 20th March) at 19.00hrs GMT (we like to tell the time like they do in the army)backstage just minutes before they take to the stage for a sell-out gig in Nottingham.  Check out the trailer below right now:

 

But what is The You Generation, we hear you cry. It's only the first global online audition process on a mission is to discover the world’s next big YouTube stars. It's Simon Cowell's latest brainchild, as the media mogul is on the look out for an act who might even be big enough to rival his beloved One Direction (read about Simon getting all soppy about the 1D boys here).

The You Generation gives anyone (yes, even you) the chance to show off their extraordinary skills and win a prize â€" all just by uploading a video. It's a bit like the Britain's Got Talent auditions, but without the need to queue outside the 02 arena for five hours in the rain.

Over the next year, The You Generation will hold 26 fortnightly contests where the videos are showcased for all the worl d to see. From make-up artists to style gurus, chefs to singers, EVERY submission will be judged by executives from Syco (that's Simon Cowell's company). Finalists will be chosen every two weeks and each winner will receive a cash prize and, most importantly, the chance to have their talent recognised on a truly global scale.            

This week One direction finally gave their hotly anticipated upcoming movie a title. Maybe they'll tell us more about that during the interview. Or perhaps they'll tell us what the best bit of their tour has been so far. Or what they had for tea tonight. Tune in live to find out!
