Kanye West slammed for flippant lyrics about Parkinson's disease on his new album

Kanye West slammed for flippant lyrics about Parkinson's disease on his new album

He's been extremely busy writing, recording and promoting his long-awaited album which fans have been eagerly snapping up since it was released this week.

However, not everyone is happy with his latest chart offering, and we're not just talking about non-fans of the rapper.

Because silly old Kanye has got himself into scalding hot water with a charity which has slammed the rapper for some extremely distasteful lyrics.

The 36-year-old rapper has come under fire by Parkinson's UK over a lyric on a song called On Sight on his six solo album.

"Insensitive and inexcusable"

He raps: "A monster about to come alive again / Soon as I pull up and park the Benz / We get this b**** shaking like Parkinson's."

Oh Kanye... you've just become a father for the first time! Did you really think that was ok?

Chief executive Steve Ford said Kanye had "shown an inexcusable level of stupidity and cruelty towards people living with an incurable condition".

He added: "Life with Parkinson's is difficult enough without becoming fodder for insensitive celebrities who should know better, looking for their next big hit.

"People with Parkinson's have to cope with intolerable social discrimination on a daily basis - often to the point where they are afraid to go out in public - and this sort of thoughtless, callous comment can only serve to make things worse."

It's also sadly ironic that Kanye, whose girlfriend Kim Kardashian gave birth to their daughter this week, is a big fan of legendary boxer Muhammed Ali - who has been battling with the disease for almost 30 years.
