Actress Olivia Colman won two TV Baftas at tonight's star-studded awards ceremony.

The popular Broadchurch star won her first gong - best supporting actress - for her role as mother of a murdered son in the gritty BBC drama Accused.

Colman then went on to scoop a second award - best female in a comedy - for her role in BBC Olympics satire Twenty Twelve.

Accepting her first award, she said: "Turns out it does mean a lot...and I'm not going to cry."

Colman, who beat three other actresses to the comedy award including Twenty Twelve co-star Jessica Hynes, said: "I'm not even the funniest one in our own programme."

Speaking backstage, she said she was "thinking there has been a mistake'' after winning her second award.

She joked: "I'm a bit doomed now, I'm never going to work again."

She said her appeal was down to people thinking she was "safe" adding: "I'm never going to take anyone's husband."

She said Hollywood had not com e calling, but said she would be happy to go if it did saying: "Of course, it's warm and I think they pay better."
