Miley Cyrus: From Disney princess to a NAKED music video

If you think Hannah Montana was blushing over the foam finger, the innocent pop princess would probably need gas and air after watching Miley Cyrus' new video Wrecking Ball.

In fact, raunchy Miley Cyrus’ nakeed straddle couldn’t be further away from her Hannah Montana persona â€" the sweet clothes wearing teen superstar.

As opinion remains divided on the video as well as Miley’s performance with Robin Thicke we take a look back at some of her previous looks, from baby faced Hannah to cutting edge  - scroll down for the pictures.

Miley burst into the big time in 2006 on Hannah Montana , a TV show about a girl who lives a double life as an average teenage school girl named Miley Stewart by day and a famous pop singer named Hannah Montana by night.

After a couple of series and a feature length film, Miley took Hannah Montana on tour and started to lose her American girl-next-door image.

Before Sunday's performance Miley had already been posing provocatively but it was the explicit nature of her moves which thrust the six minute performance into the limelight.

It was even described as sexual exploitation by a leading parents group.

The Parents Television Council has called for “heads to roll” at MTV after Miley’s raunchy performance with Robin Thicke aired on the family orientated show .

Former Disney star Miley’s nude latex bikini and sexual moves have angered and bemused celebrities, parents and fellow acts.

The Parents Television Council slammed MTV for allowing condom adverts and an explicit movie trailer to air during several commercials.

In a charged statement the group said: “MTV continues to sexually exploit young women by promoting acts that incorporate ‘twerking’ in a nude-colored bikini.

“How is this image of former child star Miley Cyrus appropriate for 14-year-olds? The Miley Cyrus/Robin Thicke performance simply substituted talent with sex.

“Viacom [the US version of Ofcom] has a set of corporate broadcast standards that were obviously broken in this case for financial gain. While the performance was shocking to the audience, MTV approved it during the show run prior to the broadcast. Heads should roll at MTV.”
