ITV officials confirmed to us that she's left the show, after a week of speculation about her love life

It's been confirmed that Jennifer Metcalfe will no longer be taking part in reality show Splash!, after a week of speculation over her love life and split from boyfriend Sylvain Longchambon.

The Hollyoaks star has been at the centre of a storm after rumours circulated that Sylvain had feelings for his new partner on Dancing On Ice - the same show where he met Jennifer - Samia Ghadie.

The Mirror revealed last week that Jennifer â€" Mercedes Fisher in the Channel 4 soap â€" was “in bits” after she was dumped over the phone by Sylvain last Friday after he grew close to Samia.

A source said: “Jen wants to rid their house of everything to do with him. It’s all just too painful and she’ll put his bags on the drive herself if she has to.

“It’s a good thing he’s away at the moment. It’s the safest place for him.”

Jennifer’s friends have rallied round to help her get over the break-up. A close pal told The Mirror: “Her friends are angry and have come out fighting for Jen.

“She’s been deeply wounded. She’s a beautiful, loyal person who’s been treated in the worst possible way.”

ITV aren't explaining why Jen pulled out of the show - which teaches contestants how to dive - or whether it had anything to do with what had happened between her and Sylvain.
