The Mirror exclusively revealed last March that Sir Elton was planning to be a dad again and the âwheels were in motionâ for a second baby
IT looks like thereâll soon be more tantrums in Sir Elton Johnâs house.
But this time it will probably be his new baby doing all the bawling rather than the Rocket Man.
Reports in the US say Sir Elton and partner David Furnish â" who starred in the fly-on-the-wall TV series Tantrums and Tiaras â" have become dads for the second time.
It is believed the couple had the child with the same surrogate mother who gave birth to their first son, Zachary, who was born on Christmas Day 2010. His mumâs identity has never been revealed.
The story about the latest addition to Sir Eltonâs family appeared in yesterdayâs New York Post.
But his US publicist Fran Curtis refused to confirm or deny the new arrival, saying: âWe never discuss our clientsâ personal lives.â
And his UK representative also declined to comment yesterday.
However itâs rumoured the new arrival could be announced officially in US Weekly â" the same magazin e which featured news of Zacharyâs birth on the front cover.
Last year Sir Elton, 65, told how he and David, 50, were keen for their son to have a brother or sister.
He said: âAt what stage we donât know. But we definitely will. I donât want him to be an only child.â

The Mirror exclusively revealed last March that Sir Elton was planning to be a dad again and that the âwheels were in motionâ for their second baby.
The couple, who wed in a civil partnership ceremony in 2005, have been raising Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John at their mansion home in Windsor, Berkshire.
Sir Elton and David insist they donât know which one of them is Zachâs biological father and say they âboth contributedâ to the process.
David said: âFor the time being we donât have a clue who the biological father is.
âWe look at him every day and at the moment he has got Eltonâs nose and my hands.â
The two took advantage of surrogacy laws in California that allow a mother to surrender her claims on her newborn baby, unlike strict rules in the UK.
Sir Elton and David recently voiced worries that Zachary will be bullied by other children when he gets older for having gay dads.
Film director David said: â Heâs going to be potentially doubly stigmatised because one of his parents is extremely famous and because he comes from two dads.
âWeâve taken advice from counsellors. Weâve also put a whole scrapbook together about his creation, the people who were involved in the process and how the intent was about love. Weâre going to raise him to be proud of who he is.â
Proud dad Sir Elton added: âI canât tell you how brilliant this yearâs been and how much love heâs brought us.â
He has already introduced Zachary to the works of Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin â" but says the youngster is more interested in football and cooking.
He said of Zachâs mum: âWe want her to be part of our lives and we want him to get to know her because sheâs a great woman.â
