Super duper: Lily Cooper has a second baby

Lily Allen said she and her family were “ecstatic” last night after she gave birth to her second child.

The singer, 27, and husband Sam Cooper, 34, were overjoyed with the arrival of little Marnie Rose Cooper.

A friend said: “Marnie is a real cutie. Sam and Lily are ecstatic about adding another girl to the family.

“A little sister for Ethel is great news for them.”

Marnie was born on Tuesday and shares a birthday with David Bowie, 66, and rock and roll legend Elvis.

Rose is Lily’s middle name, and pals said the baby’s first name was inspired by Hitchcock’s 1964 film Marnie.

The Smile singer revealed earlier this month that she had gorged on curry to try to kickstart labour.

She tweeted: “3rd curry this week... cosywomb”.

Lily lost a baby son with former boyfriend Ed Simons from The Chemical Brothers when she was six months pregnant, in October 2010.
