Have Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift been swapping 'how to make your ex-boyfriend's eyes bulge out of his pretty little head' fashion tips? More than likely (whilst wearing pyjamas and braiding each others' hair, we imagine).

The reason we suspect this? Just one night after country music star Taylor , fresh from her split with One Directioner Harry Styles , swept into the People's Choice Awards in a VERY low-cut gown , a newly-single Selena Gomez rocked up to a party in LA wearing a similarly boob-flashing frock.

The TV and music star - whose on-off relationship with fellow pop star Justin Beiber is apparently in an 'off' stage -  posed in front of a very well maintained hedge at a benefit hosted by fashion designer Alberta Ferretti.

And we're sure Alberta would have given Selena's sexy emerald green dress a big fashion thumbs up.

According to E! Online, earlier in the day a source close to Selena confirmed that the singer and the Biebs had split once more.

"They're both hurting," said the source. "They're both trying to figure out what happens next. It's not over over. But they're not together."

Selena's outfit easily matched up to Taylor's People's Choice 'this is what you're missing' dressing (lame attempt at a rhyme, we know) on her first single night out since what we're calling The Styles Split.

Sadly Selena didn't have the double whammy of smoking hot outfit AND award win that Taylor did - the songstress picked up the gong for Favourite Country Artist on her post-split night out. Which was obviously the cherry on the cake. Or the salt in Harry Styles' wounds.

But still, if she was looking to make Justin choke on his hot milk, then she definitely succeeded.
