Saturdays star Mollie King is looking for romance... with an American.

Having spent five months in the States filming new E! reality series Chasing The Saturdays, the singer says British men no longer impress her.

Mollie, 25, said: “The girls are definitely determined to set me up, but love setting me up on dates.

“American guys are really nice, open and more complimentary; guys back home are a little bit more shy and reserved.

“UK guys think it is cheesy to be nice. I like a New York accent.

"If there is a hot New York guy I definitely wouldn’t say no. If there are any good ones send them my way.

“I would like to live in New York, it is my favourite city, I love it.”

Stateside: The Saturdays in their new US show

The five girls in The Saturdays - Vanessa White, Mollie King, Rochelle Wiseman, Frankie Sandford and Una Healy - already have drawn comparisons to The Spice Girls in the USA.

Mollie added: “To compare us is a massive compliment. We all grew up wanting to be a Spice Girl and believe in girl power,”

Baby Spice even gave them tips on how to make it.

Mollie revealed: “Emma Bunton said ‘Try and take it all in because it will go by so quickly, and next thing it will be all over’.”

Unlike reality hits such as Jersey Shore, Irish Una, 31, says there will be no physical fighting: “Everyone expects a girl band in a house together will means fights, but we don’t fight. “

The bad news for male viewers is that four of the girls are in relationships with Rochelle pregnant and Una, a mum to a 10 month old girl.

The Mirror reported last week how some scenes in the new reality show require subtitles for Americans because some of the girls have such strong accents.
