The German-born supermodel, 39, returned to the 1980s in this striking new magazine shoot - and she's so busy she hasn't spotted someone stroking her hair.

Heidi first graced the limelight when she won a TV reality show more than 20 years ago, beating 25,000 rivals to be crowned Germany’s Top Model in April 1992.

She has since launched her own hunt for the next supermodel on German TV and has been presenting Project Runway - a show to find new design talents.

She said: “I have an immense drive and I don’t miss a single thing when I’m on set. I’m a control freak â€" one hundred percent.”
