After weeks of rumours, the actress posted a playful picture on Twitter to confirm the amazing baby news

It's official! Jessica Simpson has confirmed she is pregnant for the second time - and the whole world coo's and aww's.

She revealed the exciting news with a tweet on Christmas morning, posting a picture of her daughter Maxwell with the words 'BIG SIS' written in the sand pit.

The 32-year-old added the caption alongside the adorable snap that read: 'Merry Christmas from my family to yours!'

Her pregnancy was predicted by US Weekly, who printed the news on their front cover, while Jessica's publicist refused to comment on the "speculation."

She is engaged to Eric Johnson and the couple used a similar way to break the news with seven-month-old Maxwell.

Jessica dressed as an ancient mummy for Halloween  2011 and wrote: 'It's true. I'm going to be a mummy!'

The actress has had weeks of pregnancy rumours and recently agreed a commercial deal with Weight Watchers worth a massive $ 4million.
