Katherine Jackson is content that she finally knows the truth behind what happened to her son Michael, despite losing her wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG Live LLC.
The King of Popâs mother sued the company over the hiring of Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of the singerâs involuntary manslaughter two years ago.
But when a jury in Los Angeles ruled that the company was not negligent, Katherine remained positive.
And she says her suspicions about the hiring of Dr. Conrad Murray have been confirmed either way.
She told TMZ: "We have said from the beginning that this case was a search for the truth.Â
"We found the truth. AEG hired Dr. Conrad Murray, the man who is in jail for killing Michael Jackson."
She added: "AEG has denied for years, and continues to deny, that they hired Dr. Conrad Murray. The jury found una nimously that AEG hired Dr. Murray."
Â
The 82-year-old, along with with Jacksonâs two eldest children Prince, 16, and Paris, 15, claimed the company should have done a better background check on Murray.
And initially the company denied hiring the doctor - which the jury dismissed.
Jackson, 50, died while rehearsing for his long awaited comeback after announcing a 50 date residency at Londonâs O2 Arena for his âThis Is It Tourâ.
During the trial of Conrad Murray in 2011 it was discovered the doctor had administered the star a fatal shot of the surgical anaesthetic propofol after the star pleaded for help to sleep.
He was sentenced to four years in prison after a jury found him guilty.
The Jackson family are now considering an appeal against the verdict which could cost them millions of dollars in legal fees.
