Cha-Cha-Ciao! Sid Owen leaves Strictly Come Dancing after losing dance-off against Colin Salmon

This week's Halloween-themed Strictly Come Dancing turned into a real-life nightmare for Sid Owen this evening as he became the latest celebrity to leave the show.

Former EastEnders star Sid was voted out of after he found himself in the bottom two alongside actor Colin Salmon.

Following a spook-tacular Saturday night show - which saw the contestants perform a group dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller AND Bruce Forsyth dance to Gangnam Style - Sid and his dance partner Ola Jordan found themselves bottom of the leader board, whilst Colin and his partner, Kristina Rihanoff, were fourth from bottom.

However, once combined with the results of the public vote, Sid and Colin had the lowest overall scores, and were made to face one another in the dance-off.

Sid and Ola Cha-Cha-Chaed t heir way through Ghostbusters once again, whilst Colin and Kristina repeated their Salsa to Stevie Wonder's Superstition.

Both dances were improvements on their performances the night before, but ultimately the judges declared themselves to be Team Colin.

This couple were dynamic and simply better dancers - and that couple is Colin and Kristina,” Craig Revel Horwood told Tess Daly.

Next to vote was Darcey Bussell, who said: “Well they both were so much better than the performances yesterday, although the nerves hit them really hard, but I am going to have to save Colin and Kristina.”

Bruno also chose to save Colin saying: “I think overall the strongest couple were Colin and Kristina.”

Despite Len saying he would have voted for against the other judges, with three votes in Colin's favour Sid's fate was sealed, and he became the third star to leave the show, following Jerry Hall and Johnny Ball.

Reflecting back on the results of tonight’s show, Sid said: “I have loved every minute of it, thanks to Ola, she is a hard taskmaster but she has been great and we have had so much fun. And now I can even feel comfortable going out and maybe having a little dance.”

Sid and Ola's departure from the show follows a particularly tough week for the pair, as Sid was left to rehearse with Johnny Ball's former dance partner Iveta Lukosiute after Ola's mother suffered a stroke, prompting the dancer to rush back to Poland to be by her side.

Following what she described as an "emotional week of pain", Ola returned to the dance floor with Sid last night after her mother insisted she fly back to take part in the show.

She has just shared a couple of images of her backstage dressed up Miss Bisou â€" a character who does a sexy dance around a lip-shaped sofa.

We’re assuming that red lace basque will be removed at some point though because Kelly has already revealed she’ll be naked in the show.

She told Alan Carr on his Chatty Man show last week that she had agreed to be in the buff: “They asked, ‘how do you feel about going fully naked?’ They said ‘you'll show your fu fu and that's the French word for p***y.

“But they have a special way to disguise it. You will see a lot of bum, a lot of nips and plenty of tuppence. But it's cleverly lit.”

Kelly will star in the show from Thursday for one week and has spoken about her excitement over it: “Some people dream of winning an Oscar or a gold medal…I have dreamed for as long as I remember of becoming a Crazy Horse dancer,” she said while doing a little happy dance on the spot (probably).

“When I heard the show was coming to London I just knew I had to be a part of it and I am ecstatic to be making a small part alongside the truly amazing Crazy Girls in London.”

X Factor's Christopher Maloney was most out of tune act and Jahmene hit as many bad notes as Rylan Clark!

X Factor's Christopher Maloney was most out of tune act and Jahmene hit as many bad notes as Rylan Clark!

Oh dear, Gary Barlow won’t be pleased by this tuning analysis from Saturday night’s X Factor performances.

According to a pitch expert his act Christopher Maloney ( whose song provoked the “fag-ash breath” row with Tulisa ), hit the most bum notes out of all the acts â€" a total of 10 during his version of (I Just) Died in Your Arms.

And to make matters worse, Kye Sones was close behind with eight during his performance of Let Me Entertain You.

Shockingly, one of the public's (and our) favourites, Jahmene Douglas also hit eight bad notes â€" the same number as Rylan Clark!

“Each week everyone likes to debate if the judges got it right or wrong with little real analysis of the performances,” explains Helen Wright, General Manager of text and answer service, 63336.

“We used dedicated researchers to analyse each act and found that Christopher Maloney really struggled the most this week, missing notes in both the high and low registers,” she added. ( Find out why Lucy Spraggan isn't included in the results here) .

“He was surprisingly even more out of tune than Rylan, whom many people discount as the show’s weakest singer. In reality Rylan sang fairly well in tune, hitting the same number of flat notes as both Kye and even show favourite Jahmene.”

You won’t be surprised to hear though that Ella Henderson hit the least amount of bad notes, with just two as she sang Bring Me To Life.

Gary might need to have himself a large glass of red (and a fag?) after this.
