One Direction play the sound of screaming girls to help them practise for their crazy gigs

One Direction are used to the sound of hundreds of girls screaming, so much so that the world's most famous boyband play the sound of girls shrieking at the top of their lungs is at their sound checks â€" to help them stay in tune.

A recording of screams is being played as the boys rehearse on their Take Me Home world tour to give them a more authentic concert experience.

A source said: “It helps them manage their vocals. There’s little point rehearsing in an empty arena because it’s completely different when the venue is filled with people making noise. Adding screaming sounds is the only way to make the sound check realistic.” The secret soundtrack was heard in Cardiff and some fans even claim it is used during the concerts to encourage fans to make yet more noise.

After last month ’s Belfast gig James Kennedy wrote on Twitter: “One Direction have a recording of girls screaming really loudly they play throughout the concert â€" heard it in sound check. Caught out.”

Last year singer Louis Tomlinson, 21, revealed he is already partially deaf in his right ear. He said: “It’s tinnitus â€" something like that. Our fans are always very loud, especially Scousers.”

And a 1D spokesman said: “Screams have started affecting the boys on stage. They are only young and still developing, so management insist they wear high-tech earpieces and filters.”

One Direction perform five gigs at London’s O2 this week before heading to Europe, America, Australia and Asia.

3am Online recently revealed that irreverent tattoo fan Harry Styles has been recording a series of songs on his own.

Friends say the 19-year-old heart-throb has co-written several of the numbers which he hopes to release on a solo album.

The ladies man (and arguably the owner of the best hair in pop) has worked on early versions of the songs during visits to the renowned Paramount recording studio in Hollywood. Harry made his latest visit last week on a break from the group’s sell-out world tour.

He better not be planning to do a Robbie Williams and leave any time soon. Even thinking about them splitting up makes us feel a bit like we need to be put in the recovery position and drink a very sugary tea.

A rep for the band has said: "The boys are all working on the new 1D album together and sometimes sessions are recorded separately."

We quite like Joan Rivers because she’s a rather funny lady but we also like Adele because she puts beautiful sounds inside our ears.

So this latest news has left us rather confused - comedienne Joan, 79, has slammed 24-year-old singer Adele saying she is “chubby” and needs to “lose weight”.

You see how this hurts our troubled little brains? We want to continue laughing our faces off at Joan but we’re not sure we can if she continues to criticise Adele, for whom we have love.

Joan made the comments during an interview with HuffPost Live and when the host suggested she was being a little too, she said: “It’s not mean. She’s a chubby lady who’s very, very rich, and she should just calm down â€" or lose weight!”

Now, you may feel you can let Fashion Police panellist Joan off for these comments but this isn’t the first time she has criticised our Adele.

During an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in February, Joan spoke of the first time she met Adele at the Oscars this year saying she overheard the star panicking that she’d be unable to sing at the awards due to illness.

Referring to Adele’s worries, Joan said: “My throat, my throat, I don’t know if I can swallow! I said, ‘Oh yeah â€" you can swallow!’”

Hearing of Joan’s comments after the Academy Awards, the oh-so-lovely and brilliant Adele appears to have been left a tad upset and reached out to Joan but the cheeky lady refused to apologise to the Rolling in the Deep singer.

She said: “She wanted an apology, so I took an ad out on her ass. I said, ‘You are not fat.’ And then I had room for a lot of other ads…

“Adele is beautiful and successful and has, what, $100 million? Let’s face reality, she’s fat!”

Ouch! Adele, over to you…

It’s the long-lasting love affair in Essex and finally Joey Essex is ready to ask girlfriend Sam Faiers to marry him.

To be honest, we’re not sure anyone should accept a proposal from a bloke with a dodgy haircut and dress sense like Joey’s.

But he didn't disappoint with the big reveal after he flashed the engagement ring to future sister-in-law Billie and bragged: “It's well sparkly, innit.”

Which is probably our favourite celebrity quote since we heard this.

In last night’s episode of The Only Way Is Essex, Joey nervously told Sam's sister his proposal plans.

He said: “I don’t know how to put it in a professional manner.”

Before adding: “I want to propose to Sam. I’ve had it planned for ages but I want to do it in the right way.”

Joey â€" who recently opened his own shop â€" showed Billie who gushed after seeing the diamond ring: “Oh Joey it’s perfect!”

He explained: "I picked the stone and that bit's white gold. I got it made for her, it's well sparkly innit."

Later in the episode Joey surprised bride-to-be Sam by packing her bags, fetching her passport and asking her: “Do you want to go to Dubai?”

Dressed in a dodgy 80s fancy dress outfit, Sam looked shocked and asked whether or not she was dressed appropriately for the long-haul flight.

It has been reported that Joey has popped the question and Sam said YES! while the lovebirds are tanning themselves on a romantic break in Dubai.

A source told The Sun: “Joey had already bought a ring and wanted everything to be perfect, which is why he chose Dubai as he knows Sam loves it there.

“He was still overcome with nerves before asking and nearly didn’t go through with it.”

Even Piers Morgan was left uncharacteristically speechless by Ant Dec’s latest Saturday Night Takeaway show prank, after the Geordie duo tricked the former Daily Mirror editor into thinking he ruined a “priceless” painting.

Teaming up with drinking pal Simon Cowell, the pair disguised themselves as an Eastern European art trader and his guard in the stunt, which saw Piers left alone in the room when the “masterpiece” falls over.

And that’s just what Hayden Panettiere, 23, did this weekend while on an Easter getaway with pals in Florida.

The former Heroes star looked smoking hot as she emerged from the deep blue ocean with the waves gently crashing behind her.

She confidently smiled, because, well, you would if you looked like her as she soaked up the sun on the beach.

Hayden has been trying to make us incredibly jealous keeping her fans updated with her movements while on her sunshine break.

However, it’s not all fun and games for the star as the naughty girl appears to not have protected herself from the sun’s rays as well as she should have and suffered some painful sunburn.

If we were a young pop fan and we heard someone so much as whisper the name Justin Bieber, we would probably scream until our vocal chords actually snapped, flap our arms in the air like a maniac and collapse in a crazed hyperventilating heap on the floor.

But Justin appears to have become a rather troubled star of late and some of his news tends to leave us more concerned than manically excited.

OK, so this latest turn of events isn’t really that worrying but it’s not that great for Justin either â€" the Baby singer, 19, was reportedly banned from one of the hottest nightclubs in Austria this weekend.

The little chap, who was in town to perform a sell-out concert the next day, went to the Passage club in the Austrian capital of Vienna on Friday night and is said to have taken a tonne of scary bodyguards along with him for protection.

But things allegedly went downhill when Justin’s security got rather overexcited and smashed up the mobile phones and cameras of some revellers and apparently groped other partygoers at the nightspot.

Club manager Joachim Bankel told the Austrian Times: “Justin Bieber is no longer welcome here.”

 

The news comes after Justin, who was turned away from a London nightclub on his birthday this month, had his pet monkey confiscated when he tried to board a plane with the animal in Germany last week, faces possible criminal charges following an alleged assault on his Los Angeles neighbour, was branded a “spoilt brat” by a London tattoo artist and faced backlash after apparently arriving two hours late for a concert in the city earlier this month.

Don’t worry Justin! We’re sure you’re not going to run out of fans any time soon!

We're just gutted Imogen didn't invite us

And suddently, the world started spinning again...

She was the queen of champagne and canapes at celebrity parties and there isn't a nightclub in London where Imogen Thomas hasn't dazzled with her dance moves.

But after becoming a mum seven weeks ago to adorable daughter Ariana, the party loving model has avoided nights out and boozy lunches. Just the thought makes us go cold.

All of that changed last night when the gorgeous 30-year-old shared a picture of herself on Twitter with a bottle of champers firmly in her grip while holding a full glass.

Imogen wrote with the fun snap: 'Hmmm don't know about the taste of this...been a while!'.

We're not sure how long it is before someone can lose their taste for expensive plonk or bottles of fizz but here's hoping the former Miss Wales finds her feet in stilettos a gain soon.

Considering she ranked in our Top 10 Most Naked Celebrity on Twitter (EVER), on this occasion Imogen glammed up in a flowing dress with heels and showed off her Mulberry bag as she posed for the picture.

Imogen revealed this week her goal to lose her baby weight and return to her previous size 10 figure.

'I just feel like nothing looks nice on me and I just cover up with baggy clothes.

'The doctors said I had to wait six weeks before exercising after my c-section,' she wrote in her Star magazine column.

'I'll soon be eating a lot healthier and power-walking - I'm determined to get back into my size 10 jeans.'

To be fair, we're just looking forward to see her do these amazing poses that she used to do before growing another human inside her tummy.

Earlier this week, Imogen tweeted a photo of her semi-naked and wrote: 'Just had a lush @fakebakeukltd tan at home!! All Ready for Easter celebrations #baked ;-).'

We bet her celebrations involve a lovely little Easter egg hunt for Ariana and a massive family roast lunch.

While ours will pretty much consist of us either forcing all the chocolate into our face like a confectionery version of waterboarding, or sitting in the pub drinking bottle after bottle of Pinot and arguing about how dogs walk (is it arm/leg opposites or arm/leg one at a time?)
